My Self-SummarySince the Interastral Peace Corporation wouldn’t mean much to most people here, let’s just say I help people all over the universe. I love what I do, but I’m usually a lot busier than this.
I’m not sure what to do with all this free time on my hands. Let’s be friends.

I'm free whenever.

If you really are free whenever, then why not tomorrow? I'm absolutely exhausted by all that "Truth or Dare" stuff. Tomorrow I plan to kick back, relax, and just have fun! 🎉 As should you! 🎉
[Have fun and rebound from his friendship breakup—]

[ That's classier than Birdbucks, right?]
no subject
Sure, sounds wonderful! I could go for a mimosa or two. Or perhaps even three. Depends on how I'm feeling! We'll meet for brunch in the early afternoon~🥂
[(Annnnd can either end things there or cut to action. Whichever!]
no subject
Why don't we start with like, one mimosa first?
no subject
If that's what you want, then sure. We'll have two mimosas, please! The kind that tastes sweet and gives you a light buzz, not the kind that's spiked to make people act like dogs in heat. And then we'd like one of those cute treat towers we saw upfront! And that'll be all for now, unless my brunch date has something she wants to add.
[He tells this to their waitress.]
no subject
The towers of snacks were intriguing, so she's glad he ordered those. ]
That's good for now, thanks.
no subject
So!
["How's your hopefully-now-ex boyfriend? The one who paid someone to kill him?"
... is NOT what he's going to ask. That would just be a mood killer!]
How are you doing? Busy meal-planning?
no subject
Yeah, it's pretty busy. How's it going with you?
no subject
[He pauses, his smile frozen in place.
And then just... doesn't answer.]
I'm just glad that you're here, and that we have food and drinks coming! Speaking of which, that looks like our order already. I guess that's what you call top-notch service~♪
[A waiter is already approaching with treats and mimosas. They really ARE superhumanly fast here.]
no subject
[ But the treat tower and the drinks hit the table and she's momentarily distracted, taking a few photos and thanking the staff. ]
no subject
He will not bother thanking the staff, though.]
Aren't these little birds the cutest? They're just perfect for dessert! But first, the savory course~♪
[He begins to load up his plate with canapés from the bottommost tier.
Still no answer to her question, btw.]
no subject
I'm glad you're used to eating this way. I'm still not.
[ She'll give checking on him one last shot: ]
Are you okay?
no subject
Or ever.
His smile stays plastered on. In his head he can't help but think some rather unflattering thoughts, though. Like that "Senior Manager" types sure like to ask pointless questions.]
Well, I'm not a statue yet.
[He lifts his mimosa glass off the table and raises it in midair.]
So while we're still breathing, let's make a toast! To cute critters, treat towers, and other things we love...♪
no subject
But he snatches away her chance to push. If he wants to be cheered up, it isn't her place to ruin the mood. Raising a glass in a toast is almost an automatic reaction as an executive, and she does her best to smile. ]
Yeah. Cheers to that.
no subject
Anyway. Still breathing!]
Yep, cheers! ♪
[He raises his glass of champagne to his lips. Since turning 20, he's gotten used to the taste of alcohol. Not bad!
He then sets it down on the table, reaching for the treat tower and casting around for a conversation subject. Does he ask about the community meal? Nope, already did that. Does he ask how her partner's doing? Nope, absolutely not! Should he ask if she's gathered any intel on the resort recently? No, that seems too serious and he's not in the mood...
Though that does remind him of one thing.]
You know Matoba-san, right?
[He speaks while cutting into a slice of quiche with a fork and knife.]
We met during that Truth or Dare game. I met someone else who called himself an exorcist, too, actually. Interesting line of work, no?
no subject
[ her fork full of fruit stops in midair at the mention of another exorcist. ]
Another exorcist? Interesting.
no subject
[He eats the bite of quiche and continues.]
I don't know how much stock to put in that, since we all have our theories about this place. But they seemed absolutely sure of themselves. Though if this is a big ayakashi, it's one that can bake cute bird-shaped cakes.
[He says while eyeing the two on the topmost tier of the tower.]
no subject
[ From an academic standpoint it's interesting. It's just wild to be living in the thing that is collecting "impossibility" energy.
Following Hiyori's gaze, she uses a serving utensil to guide the treat off the tier and safely onto Hiyori's plate. ]
Even if the heart was a separate creature, symbiotic or parasitic relationships are a thing in nature.
no subject
Thanks!
[And then proceeds to spear the bird with his fork.]
I was thinking of saving the sweet stuff for last, but it doesn't hurt to mix things up. Sweet and savory tastes can go together. For example, Baku-kun keeps hosting "sushi and cocoa" parties up in his suite, and I've enjoyed those more than I ever thought I would.
[Bakugo absolutely did not partake in the cocoa last time, and he's repeatedly rejected the idea of calling these gatherings "parties." But no matter. History is written by he who yaps the most (aka Hiyori Tomoe).
He eats some of his bird, and then adds:]
And that's just what Jin Mingming said. She compared the House to a parasite feeding on the resort. I'm not sure the "host" in this case was all that healthy to start with, though.
no subject
[ Her fork stills, the thought exercise has become more interesting than the food. Is the House like the fungus that kills its host? Or one where it's more beneficial if the host stays alive? ]
Then the question is which part is absorbing the energy?
no subject
Parasites absorb nutrients from their host, right? Maybe it's like that!
