I'd think of Gods as something that's a little more permanent than an Aeon. Aeons can ascend and fall in quickly.

[ She studies the tempad from various angles, then shakes her head. ]

Something this size would be similar to the Phase Flame, which would allow one person to travel across the galaxy. For anything larger, warp technology is used.

The IPC has funded the Genius Society's research into simulated universes, but the portals for those are much larger than this.

As for real alternative universes...

[ She moves over to the chalkboard and picks up a piece of chalk, drawing a tree with many branches ]

The commonly accepted theory is that every universe is a branch on the Imaginary Tree. Each branch grows infinitely, without intersecting.

Except in places like this, they do.
